This picturesque palace was custom designed to reflect the natural beauty of the area with a tasteful homage to the Kootenai and Pend Oreille Native Americans of the region. The fully furnished 18-room, 5,000 square foot main home can sleep up to 14 in its grand master suite, luxurious guest suite, and large bunkroom suite, not to mention the additional full bath and half bath on the main level. This dream-come-true vacation home boasts a total of 4 fireplaces; two wood-burning inside, one outside on the patio, and a gas fireplace in the master suite.
Great Room
The great room pavilion is simultaneously spacious and intimate. The plush, comfortable furnishings keep conversations easy and familiar while warm cedar-wood cathedral ceilings rise high to inspire and impress. Three sets of large accordion doors open up to invite the panoramic wonder of the Pend Oreille River and the stunning beauty of the immaculately maintained grounds into your private luxury retreat. Location
Laclede is located in Bonner County, Idaho approximately 70 miles from the Spokane Washington International Airport, 54 miles north of Coeur d’Alene, and 14 miles southwest of Sandpoint. The property is located less than half a mile south of US Highway 2 on Campbell Homestead Road.
The metropolitan attractions and amenities of Spokane, the second largest city in Washington are less than 90 minutes away (63 miles) and the Canadian border is approximately 75 miles due north.
Weather
Laclede’s four-season climate is moderate compared to weather patterns typically found east of the Rockies. Average annual rainfall is 33.5 inches and snowfall 71.7 inches. Temperatures below zero in the winter and above 90 in the summer are rare. The average year-round temperature is 47 degrees and in a typical year there are 125 frost-free days. Nights are generally cool, humidity is relatively low, and summertime usually brings consecutive weeks of clear and sunny weather.

Fishing and Hunting
Northern Idaho is an angler’s paradise. One-third of all state record fish are caught in this region. The world record rainbow trout (37 pounds) was caught in Lake Pend Oreille. The state record northern pike (38 pounds) and Chinook salmon (42 pounds) came from Lake Coeur d’Alene while a lake trout exceeding 57 pounds was caught in Priest Lake.
With more forestland than any other state except Alaska (21.6 million acres), Idaho offers world-class hunting experiences. Big game hunts include elk, moose, mule and whitetail deer, mountain lion, black bear, wolf, and bighorn sheep. Upland game bird hunts for grouse, quail, and wild turkey, are common while the most popular waterfowl hunts are for ducks and Canadian geese.
